Higashimaru International Corporation was founded in 1991 as a distributor of imported frozen shrimp. The frozen shrimp industry has changed drastically since then, influenced by various factors such as, burst of the economic bubble, exchange fluctuations, price collapse, depletion of natural shrimp resources and the rise of the shrimp culture.
Under the circumstances mentioned above, our company was among the first
to withdraw from ingredients trading. Since then, we have been producing
processed frozen seafood products, processed frozen vegetable products,
processed frozen meat products and freeze-dried products. We have been
persistent in the production, import and sale of products that satisfy
our customers’ needs, primarily in the food-service industry.
We also believe that our highest priority issue is to process safe and
fresh ingredients in hygienic plants and to supply products our customers
can safely consume. We are deeply committed to thorough production control,
mainly in the company’s plants overseas.
By responding to the changes in raw material situations in various countries,
processing technology and needs and by considering ways of trading that
utilizes our maneuverability, we will continue to develop new products
of high value based on the customers’ needs and to responsibly develop
products.
